Staff, Not MRSA

Dad got the test results back (the doctor was worried enough to rush them to the top of the list), and he does not have MRSA. Thank god. He does, however, have a staff infection, but it has not spread past t he one injury yet, and he's on really strong meds. So unless the infection spreads to internal organs or he gets a whole series of cuts infected, he'll be fine.

I just wanted to let'cha all know that. He's gunna be fine. Sore and still kinda freaked, but fine. He wanted me to pass on his thanks for all the well wishes everyone has sent. He really does appreshate the thoughts.

i'm glad to hear he'll be okay. hopefully it doesn't move on to anywhere else. is the rest of the reconstruction going better?

He's takeing all precautions, including doucing everything in antibacterial gels. I tried to explain that it's stuff like this which causes MRSA in the first place, but considering the stitaution, it's kinda falling on def ears. ::G:: Rest of the remodling work is going very well. We started boxing up my room today, most of it will be done tomorrow (if I'm feeling better) or Tuesday (if I'm not).

::nods:: Yah, Staff still isn't good, but compaired to MRSA it's GREAT! We'll take staff over MRSA pretty much any day of the week. ::G::
